Another trip to Perth

Pretty similar to previous trips, really...


Except we met Louka's new cousin, Shakey.

First playgroup

One of the mothers in our group lives next door to a church that holds a playgroup on tuesday mornings. So with the miserable weather we've been having, we decided to meet there.

I was a bit nervous as Louka's never been to such a thing before, but as soon as we walked through the door she was off! I don't think she noticed when I went to move the car.

She tried out all the toys, tried hard to pedal the tricycle, rolled play-dough shapes, drew and rubbed out on a chalk-board, and made and ate a chocolate wand.

However, despite all the fun, she'd had enough after an hour and a half and wanted to leave.

A week in FNQ

Graham's mum took us for a week's holiday to Cairns.

On Monday we flew to Cairns.

On Tuesday we went to Kuranda. We visited the shops and the butterfly sanctuary, and looked at the Barron Falls.




On Wednesday we went to Daintree and took a crocodile-spotting cruise.



On Thursday we took the boat out to Green Island.


On Friday we stayed at Trinity Beach and went for a swim.



On Saturday we went to Atherton Tableland to tour a coffee plantation.


On Sunday we drove to Cape Tribulation and got rained on in the rainforest.




On Monday we flew back to Sydney.
