Look what I found on Louka's scalp

On the way home from school yesterday, Louka complained of a lump on her scalp. I had a look, pinched it off with tweezers, and here it is.

Trick or Treat

At school Louka's year is studying celebrations round the world, so of course this included Halloween. One homework item was to create a Halloween poster, and I was pretty pleased when I took Louka to school yesterday morning to see her poster in pride of place in the classroom entrance.

After last year, Louka said she just wanted to stay home and hand out lollies to trick-or-treaters, but when it came to the point she did want to go trick-or-treating herself. Her first choice of partner wasn't allowed to go, so she went with the same friend as last year. Her girl vampire costume looked very cute, I thought, but she found the fangs uncomfortable.

After an hour and a half both girls had had enough so we headed home to light the jack-o-lantern Louka had made, and to hand out lollies of our own.
