Last day of school

Today was Louka's last day of school for the year. At the end of each year, the whole school from Kindy to Year 5 lines up and makes a tunnel for the Year 6 kids to walk through as they leave the school for the last time.

 

Then her teacher took the class back to the classroom to say goodbye. The class presented the teacher with a big bunch of flowers, a card and a shopping voucher.

Then it was time to go - and on the way home some friends called out to Louka, so Louka invited them in. I'm not sure what their mum thought about what they got up to.

Dance concert 2013

Another year of tap lessons, another end-of-year concert. Louka is still in the small and cute group, and looked gorgeous in her costumes.

Her first number was a combination of "The Way You Look Tonight" and "You're Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile". I had the camera on "auto" and the pictures didn't come out very well.

Her second number was "Mickey Mouse Club" and I put the camera on "sports" mode with better results.

The concert was fun, but there are always lots of awards at the end and it wasn't interesting as Louka didn't get one.
