Zoo

Today six of the mothers group (and their babies) spent the day at Taronga Park. Andrea had four free tickets, and I had an entertainment book voucher, so we each only had to pay $8.

First we went to measure the babies against the baby giraffes. The giraffes were much taller.

We wandered past the gorillas, and looked at the seals and sea-lions.

After a quick coffee break it was off to the bird show. This was absolutely spectacular, as brolgas, cockatoos, owls, hawks and eagles swooped low over head on cue and displayed their abilities at the keeper's prompting.

After lunch, we wandered round looking at the farm displays (the sheep were keen to chew on the prams) and the seal show (at which Louka clapped at all the right times).

The baby noisy miner wasn't a zoo inmate, I don't think.

Unfortunately Louka had found the day a bit overstimulating, and she cried in the car on the way home.
